Friday Favs: Female-Owned Boutiques

The only thing better than supporting local business? Supporting female-owned local businesses! Fortunately for me, the Cincinnati area and beyond is flourishing with boutiques owned and operated by women. Here are my three favorites:

Handzy Shop + Studio [Covington, Kentucky]
Owners: Brittney Braemer and Suzy Strachan
Most unique collection of inventory: Clothing line
Although I am a college student on a budget, my primary exception to that rule is when I get the opportunity to stock up on Handzy’s latest clothing pieces [I can’t help it, their dresses and tops add SO much personality to an otherwise bland business casual outfit]! Even if clothing isn’t what you’re looking for, Handzy also curates a one-of-a-kind greeting card selection & has everything you could think of in terms of desk accessories

Continuum Bazaar [Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati]
Owner: Ericka Leighton-Spradlin
Most unique collection of inventory: Stylish intimates collection
Continuum Bazaar specializes in everything a woman could need, from clothing and accessories to stationery. Continuum features products from over 60 [!!!] designers and is a one-stop shop for young female creatives. The boutique encourages its customers to express their individuality, whether it be through a pair of statement earrings or an unconventional coffee table book

Wildfire Home & Gift [Hamilton, Ohio]

Owner: Sarah DankhoffMost unique collection of inventory: Wall art collection
No, I’m not actively looking for a long-term apartment. Yes, I still visit Wildfire Home & Gift’s website at least once a week to imagine how I would decorate my home if I were actively looking. Wildfire should be everyone’s go-to boutique when looking to upgrade their home decor. From kitchen necessities to planters, Wildfire adds a touch of tasteful design to every element of home decor that you could need in your house.
