Eateries in Indianapolis

In all transparency, this blog post was originally meant to highlight three of my favorite places in Chicago. However, after a series of unforeseen circumstances, what was supposed to be a trip to the Windy City turned into a short weekend visit to Indianapolis. We only spent one night in the city, so it was hard to fit a lot in. But, if you find yourself in Indy’s downtown area anytime soon, check out one of these three yummy eateries!

Georgia Street Grind
You all already know I’m ALWAYS looking for the best local coffee shops in any new city that I travel to. I found Georgia Street Grind by coincidence, and it definitely did not disappoint! With a mission rooted in providing hospitality and high-quality coffee to the heart of downtown Indianapolis, Georgia Street Grind offers a little slice of solace tucked away from the bustle of the city. [Pro tip: the dulce de leche latte, iced or hot, is an absolute must-try!]

The District Tap
Indy’s expansive bar scene is definitely one of the city’s greatest attractions, and The District Tap offers the perfect balance of drink selections and tasty bar and grill style food. With a long list of craft beers and specialty cocktails and a full kitchen, The District Tap is the obvious dinner choice.

Henry’s Coffee Bistro
Looking for a quick breakfast on your way out of the city? Henry’s Coffee Bistro offers a variety of brunch and breakfast items in addition to a variety of specialty coffee drinks. Trust me when I say the breakfast burritos are unmatched and the lattes are some of the best I’ve ever had. Plus, the friendly customer service at this neighborhood favorite is a welcome bonus!
