Well, we’ve reached that time of year again where I’m home for the holidays and my break is long enough that I don’t want to stop my workout routine, but not long enough for me to invest in a gym membership. So, once again I was on the hunt for the best at-home workouts.
One thing I’ve been looking for recently is a workout plan with more cardio. Since I’m not on the second floor of an apartment for the next month, I really wanted to take advantage of my ability to do squat jumps and burpees without my downstairs neighbors banging on their ceiling to get me to shut up [yes, it’s happened and yes, it was humiliating].
Thanks to a recommendation from Brooke Anderson, I found Luxe Fitness, an online workout platform. When I found out Luxe offers a 30-day free trial, I knew I had to at least try the workouts to see what they were like! Spoiler: they did not disappoint.
Luxe can be accessed completely from a web browser, or you can download the app for even more convenience. I love the app because the calendar feature allows me to queue up videos for the week so I can plan my workouts by each individual day. These at-home workouts include cardio, boxing, booty, pilates, meditation, yoga and core so there’s sure to be something to satisfy anyone’s fitness favorites.
The cardio aspect is a game changer for me. In the past, many cardio workouts have not worked for me, unless I was literally using a treadmill or stair machine. I tend to get bored easily with cardio routines and would much rather focus on strength. Luxe’s cardio circuits, though, are perfect because they’re only 10 to 20 minutes long and consist of the perfect blend of cardio moves and strengthening moves! By the end of the routine, I was out of breath and dripping in sweat. I 100% recommend Luxe to anyone looking to intensify their at-home workouts even without access to a lot of equipment!
